Chris Renaud,
Member of the Board of Directors
Chris is from Windsor and grew up there. His youth was spent playing sports, and in the summer, attending outdoor camps. He gives credit to his parents for encouraging this involvement; something that he feels has benefited him greatly. From his participation he believes that he learned the life lessons of hard work, commitment and leadership, while accomplishing tasks in a team environment. He also maintains how important it is to participate, meet like-minded friends, and learn from leaders.
After finishing secondary school Chris went on to pursue a university degree at Colgate University. After college, Chris was signed to the New York Rangers of the NHL in 1982. He played with their minor league affiliates. In 1984 he was traded to the Buffalo Sabres and finished his professional career with them in 1985.
Chris has been in the advertising and marketing businesses in Windsor for over 35-years. He started at an entry-level position and worked his way up to management and executive levels in firms. For many years in his spare time, Chris has coached youth hockey in boys and girls’ organizations. He believes in the development of confidence, self-esteem, inclusion and acceptance in young people today.
Chris joined the Bryerswood Youth Camp Board of Directors to support and offer positive guidance to the Club and its programs. He is committed to enriching the lives of our youth, through skill development that is often not available in our communities today.
He trusts his background in sports and business will enable him to do this.
